Pre Purchase Timber Pest Inspections<\/strong><\/h4>\n

If you a buying a new home a pre-purchase timber pest inspection is essential. A pre-purchase Inspection covers timber pests including subterranean termites, borers and decay. The inspection complies with the Australian Standards AS4349.3.<\/p>\n

Many firms offer a combined building\/pest inspection. These inspections are carried out by qualified builders who have completed a four-day timber pest course that allows them to include termites in their inspection. By comparison, a licensed Certificate III termite technician must complete a 12 month course to be a pest controller and another 12 months experience working under a licensed Certificate III technician as well as further courses specifically on timber pests before he is qualified to carry out inspections.
